Day Zero - Dec. 31 2017

2017 is coming to a close. A new year is upon us all and I wonder what the new year shall bring. Ready? No, but I am sure that my camera is.  I have the Super Ikonta ready, I am not really sure I am.  I guess that trip I want to make today up to Rockwood is going to keep calling until I go..

Time to pack that bag and get going..

Bronica EC, check... Canon EOS ELAN 7NE Check... Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta... yup!  Extra film.. yeah a roll or two, I've got'em ready..

I wonder how Elora looks like this time of year.. Perhaps I should take a trek up there instead.. AND make a stop along the way.

A New Year

In one year I hope ... will fill this blog with memories of how my camera saw the world around me. I know it's going to be hard, but it's something I have been wanting to do.

The camera I plan on using is my Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 530/2 120 Roll Film 6x9 rangefinder. It's a camera I have always wanted to try and now, well, good news. I finally have one! It's going to be very tough to stay on track, but I know I can do it.

The other added challenge to all this is the choice I have made in making this my Sunny 16 #cheapshotschallenge camera of choice, which means it'll be doing double duty.

In one year I will have no less than 52-rolls of film through this camera.  I intend on making it a mix of Ektar, Velvia, HP5 and possibly a few other films along the way, but with most emphasis on HP5 and Velvia...

So here's to a new year and a new challenge... a new project...
